Service Description

Stewardfi LLC (“Stewardfi,” “we,” “us”) provides CPA-delivered monthly personal financial statements to household subscribers (“you,” “Client”), with a web and mobile app where you can see your accounts, spending, and net worth and message your CPA.

Stewardfi is offered as one plan at one price:

• CPA-Delivered — $99/month, all-inclusive: automatic account syncing; your monthly statements; your accounts, spending, and net worth in the app; direct messaging with your CPA; and statements for your business entities are all included at no additional charge. There are no tiers, add-ons, per-entity charges, annual plan, or free trial.

Each month a licensed CPA goes through the categorization of your transactions, organizes your account activity into your statements, and delivers them: a statement of financial position (what you own and what you owe) and a statement of income and expenses, with separate statements for each business entity you operate. Your engagement letter describes the service in full.

All subscriptions are delivered as a consulting engagement under AICPA Consulting Services Standards (CS Section 100).

Your Engagement Letter, and Which Document Governs

New subscribers sign our engagement letter (currently version 1.2) before their subscription begins, and existing clients sign each new version before they continue. It defines the professional engagement: the services, what they are not, your responsibilities, fees, termination, records and retention, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, and governing law.

The engagement letter, these Terms, and our Privacy Policy together are the entire agreement between us. If these Terms conflict with your engagement letter, the engagement letter governs. How we handle your information is governed by the Privacy Policy, which the engagement letter incorporates.

Nature of Professional Services

CPA-Delivered financial statements are provided as part of a consulting engagement under AICPA Consulting Services Standards (CS Section 100). These statements have not been subjected to an audit, review, or compilation engagement as defined by the AICPA Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services (SSARS). No assurance is provided on these financial statements.

• Your financial statements have NOT been audited, reviewed, or compiled in accordance with SSARS.
• No assurance, whether limited or otherwise, is provided on your financial statements.
• Stewardfi does not independently verify the accuracy or completeness of data received from your financial institutions through Plaid.
• Your statements are for your personal use — not for a lender, an investor, a court, a government agency, or any other third party.

Not Tax, Investment, or Legal Advice

Stewardfi is not a registered investment adviser. Nothing in our services constitutes investment advice, tax advice, or legal advice, and we do not prepare or file tax returns. Our services are not designed to detect fraud. Consult qualified professionals for specific financial, tax, or legal guidance.

Data and Third Parties

Plaid: We use Plaid Inc. to connect to your financial institutions with read-only access — we cannot move money. By using Stewardfi, you acknowledge and agree to Plaid's end user privacy policy.

AI: We use artificial intelligence (Claude, by Anthropic) to assist with transaction categorization and to draft the notes on your statements; a licensed CPA edits and finalizes every note. A licensed CPA goes through the resulting categorizations before any statement is delivered.

Stripe: Payment processing is handled by Stripe Inc.

Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect, every provider that handles your data, and how deletion and retention work.

Household Accounts

If you invite someone to your household, they can see the household's accounts, transactions, and statements. Account-by-account visibility controls are not available yet. To keep an account separate or to leave a household, contact us at support@stewardfi.ai.

CPA Messaging

Your subscription includes direct messaging with your CPA about your statements, as part of the single all-inclusive plan.

Billing and Cancellation

The subscription fee is $99 per month, billed monthly in advance through Stripe, beginning on the date you complete enrollment. There is no free trial and no annual plan. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.

You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of your current billing period. Cancellation stops future charges; we do not provide refunds for the current or any partial period.

Changes to the fee: We may change our fee. We will notify you at your account email at least thirty (30) days before a new fee applies to your subscription. If you do not accept the new fee, you may cancel before it takes effect; continuing your subscription after that date constitutes acceptance.

We may end the engagement as your engagement letter provides: with thirty (30) days' notice, or immediately in the circumstances it lists.

Limitation of Liability

Stewardfi provides financial reporting services “as is.” We make no warranties regarding the accuracy of third-party data (bank balances, transactions, investment values). As your engagement letter provides, our aggregate liability to you is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000), and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

Disputes and Governing Law

Disputes are resolved as your engagement letter provides: mediation first, then binding individual arbitration in Will County, Illinois. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
